Time Out Market is a global food and cultural market leveraging the editorial curation of Time Out Media to bring the best of the city together under one roof: its best chefs, restaurants, bars and cultural experiences.

We're looking for a self motivated and experienced social media manager to help drive social media engagement and community management through strategic content creation across both our New York Markets.
Union Square opened its doors on 25th September 2025 and our Dumbo Market has been open in Brooklyn since May 2019. These markets have two distinct brand identities, and therefore each have their own following.
Each site has its own voice, feed, and content pillar ratio. The role will be split across both markets - Dumbo 65% USQ 35%.
We are looking for a unicorn - someone who can ideate, execute and manage our content channels for our New York Markets.
Experience managing channels as well as shooting and editing is essential.
You will support the marketing teams in both markets, in developing social-first campaigns with additional content ideas that extend big ideas beyond campaigns.
We're looking for someone who can work autonomously, understand the briefs and run with it, someone passionate and excited to own the output of all our social accounts. Sound good...?

Responsibilities:
Curate and produce a consistent and evolving stream of engaging content that grows our audience and strengthens our community
Create end-to-end social content across image and video, from concept through production to post-production for our social channels - TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts (and more)
Independently manage organic social media channels, plan content calendars as well as look after the everyday community management, scheduling/posting and reporting
Develop and execute campaigns that drive reach and engagement
Spot trends early and move fast ensuring they are fit for brand and purpose
Optimise content for each platform as and where necessary
Engage with our audience and build genuine communities in line with brand guidelines
Collaborate with the HQ brand team as well as local operations and marketing team to get work live quickly
Report clearly on performance, learnings and ROI, leveraging insights to evolve strategy
Build strong relationships with talent (creators, experts, ambassadors) to produce content that is closely aligned to the Time Out Market brand and audience
Stay ahead of platform trends, algorithm changes and emerging opportunities in the social landscape
Evening and weekend coverage required during events, service peaks, and key moments.
What success looks like:
Two distinct online identities, each unmistakably its own venue
A clear balance between storytelling and commercial support
Attributed footfall growth traceable to content activity
Community tone that feels warm, local, and opinionated
Shift in brand perception from corporate food hall to neighbourhood Time Out destination
Qualifications:
You have grown accounts organically (this is key)
You understand what makes content go viral and can verbalise this
You will have previously been a content creator / social-first creative/ creative social media manager or producer who has generated and developed high quality and proactive social ideas.
You will have experience managing numerous social channels
You have experience with food, drinks and culture / hospitality based brands.
You have experience filming on both phone and camera and can comfortably edit and execute social content on a daily basis
Experience in self-producing smaller shoot
You have immaculate awareness about social platforms, formats, latest trends and updates, keeping all work culturally relevant.
You're comfortable presenting on camera as well as working behind the scenes.
Demonstrate proficiencies with social content editing tools like Capcut and with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premier Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro & Illustrator)
