We love what we do – and it shows! Time Out Market is the division of Time Out that brings our food and cultural experiences to life for our guests, readers and clients.
Our Market Bar-backs provide outstanding guest service and product to ensure that each of our guests enjoy a memorable experience with each visit.
Responsibilities
-Provide a unique coffee and food-forward experience for every customer, including keeping up with production demand throughout the day.
-Serve as a coffee and food expert, providing exceptional knowledge of food and beverage products and the ingredients used in those products.
-Demonstrate impeccable composure and the ability to thrive in ambiguous situations. -Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events.
-Provide quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
-Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and standards.
-Contribute to a positive team environment.
-Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
-Adhere to all company cash handling policies including handling cash and credit card transactions, providing accurate change, and issuing receipts.
-Appear in uniform for all shifts at scheduled time
-Keep the bar top clean and free of dirty glasses, trash, etc. throughout the shift.
-Keep your work station clean and organized.
-Inform management of any complaint, comments or incident
-Behave and communicate in a friendly and professional manner with all guests
-Provide information to guests regarding our venue, menus and pricing
-Adhere to all company standard operating procedures. Maintain all company service
sequence standards
-Maintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through your work area throughout shift
-Comply with all safety and health department procedures as well as Company and/or
departmental policies/procedures and all state and federal liquor laws.
