Position Summary:
Time Out is seeking a results-driven and relationship-oriented Account Director to lead strategic initiatives that drive revenue through brand, media and experiential partnerships. This role focuses on building and expanding relationships with brand/client partners & agencies that align with Time Out’s mission to spotlight the best of city life. Client direct relationships are paramount in this role. The candidate should be a strong communicator, a creative thinker, and a proactive seller who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic media environment.
The target total compensation ranges from $153,700 – $195,000, including a fixed annual salary of $118,000 – $130,000, plus comprehensive benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
Advertising Sales Acumen:
Develop and execute advertising strategies that grow revenue across digital, print, experiential, and branded content platforms.
Client & Agency Relationships:
Cultivate and manage relationships with key clients across multiple verticals.
Integrated Campaign Development:
Collaborate with internal teams including creative solutions,
branded content, and account management to create
compelling advertising solutions that meet client objectives.
Revenue Generation & Forecasting:
Own and exceed quarterly and annual revenue goals; forecast pipeline and track performance.
Market Trends & Innovation:
Stay informed of industry trends, competitive offerings, and consumer insights to position Time Out as a leading media partner.
Qualifications:
4-6 years of experience in national advertising sales, business development, or media partnerships, preferably in lifestyle, digital media, or publishing.
Proven track record of exceeding revenue goals and building strong client relationships.
Deep understanding of digital media, branded content, and experiential/ event sponsorships.
Strong relationships across national brands and agencies in key identified categories.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in CRM tools and sales analytics platforms.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
