Overview:
Time Out Market Budapest opened its doors in September 2025. Our goal is to build a dynamic, eager-to-learn team together, with whom we showcase the very best of the city under one roof.
Time Out Market Budapest is looking for a Sales & Event Manager to join our team. This is a key, dual-focused role responsible for driving and managing corporate group sales to achieve and exceed annual revenue targets, while also providing operational support and leadership in the day-to-day running of the Market and the coordination of events, ensuring a seamless, high-quality guest experience.
Corporate Group Sales
Drive and exceed annual sales targets across food & beverage and venue sales revenue.
Prepare, present, and negotiate comprehensive proposals and contracts
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to maximize corporate event and private sales opportunities.
Proactively identify and develop new markets, business opportunities, and revenue streams.
Support budget forecasting and prepare sales reports, performance analyses, and revenue projections.
Event Coordination
Act as the primary point of contact for all group booking and event enquiries, delivering responsive, efficient, and high-quality service to both existing and prospective clients.
Coordinate, finalize, and communicate all event and booking details accurately with relevant internal departments.
Work closely with the Operations team and Market vendors to ensure exceptional client satisfaction.
Oversee the on-site execution of large-scale events, ensuring full compliance with company standards, policies, and service procedures.
Operational Management
Support the management ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of the Market.
Build and maintain relationships with both B2C and B2B customers, proactively gathering feedback and ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction.
Help maintain operational excellence by continuously improving the guest experience and supporting effective team performance.
Carry out any additional duties assigned by management as required.
Skills & Competencies
Experience: Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in sales, event management, hospitality, or a similar role.
Communication: Fluent in Hungarian and English. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain professional, positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and external partners while representing the Time Out Market brand.
Financial Acumen: Strong numerical skills, including budgeting, financial calculations, and revenue management.
Leadership & Training: Demonstrated ability to motivate, coach, and support teams while leading by example in a fast-paced operational environment.
Problem Solving: Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-oriented under pressure, with strong analytical and decision-making skills to resolve operational and customer-related challenges effectively.
Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, based on business and event requirements.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the hospitality industry and the local corporate events market is considered an advantage.
Technical Skills: Experience with Tripleseat or other event management software is an advantage.
Education & Qualifications
A degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Industry-related certifications or professional training are advantageous but not required.
