Purpose of the Role
As a Creative Strategist at Time Out Media in Australia, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering innovative marketing campaigns alongside our Australian Head of Creative Solutions and collaborating with the Australian Commercial team.
You’ll turn advertiser objectives into compelling creative strategies that connect brands with audiences through content, activations, and media solutions. Expect to work closely with editorial, creative, and sales teams to push creative boundaries while keeping campaigns performance-driven and impactful.
Key Responsibilities
Ideating creative, impactful campaigns for RFPs that span video, written content, display, social, experiential, and more
Offering creative solutions for advertisers' needs based on our platforms and products
Utilising data to conceive of content themes, formats, and more to develop performance-driven program ideas that feel organic for the advertiser and the Time Out brand
Participating in brainstorms, big and small, from high-budget RFPs to proactive thought starter ideation sessions
Writing persuasive, on-brand program, display, video, or content series pitches for marketing proposals to bring your ideas to life
Skills & Experience
This role is perfect for a junior strategist looking to step up. You’re an ambitious, creative thinker who loves shaping ideas into compelling campaigns and has:
1–2 years’ experience in a creative, media, or advertising strategy role.
A collaborative mindset – you enjoy working across teams.
A passion for media and platforms – from TikTok to Instagram and beyond.
Awareness of trends shaping the media industry and future consumer habits.
Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking.
Strong ability to multitask and manage varying deadlines, working across multiple RFP responses or projects concurrently.
Understanding of the digital media planning and buying landscape.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Confidence in building relationships and influencing stakeholders.
Enthusiasm, curiosity, and a team-first attitude.
