Branded Content Editor
We’re looking for a talented Branded Content Editor to take the lead on all commercial content for our Hong Kong business.

Role Purpose
The Branded Content Editor will be the driving force behind our commercial storytelling, blending editorial creativity with client objectives. They will create compelling branded content themselves, or collaborate with freelancers, always ensuring it reflects the authentic Time Out tone of voice.
This role acts as the bridge between editorial excellence and commercial success, producing content that not only engages audiences but also delivers on client goals.
Our ideal candidate is bilingual and able to support both commercial and editorial teams across the business. Above all, they will ensure that every piece of content is high-quality, impactful, and enhances the overall user experience.
Responsibilities
- Branded/Sponsored Content: Production lead on all commercial content be it written, social video or eDM materials for both Time Out consumer website and business sites, ensuring all content meets high standards of quality and aligns with Time Out's voice.
- Freelance Commissioning: Take the lead on commissioning freelancers where needed and sub editing all work from third parties and internal where needed. Manage the necessary freelancer budgets/PO where required
- Content Management: Assist with publishing content on the Time Out website as needed, ensuring consistency and accuracy is maintained.
- SEO Optimization: Ensure content is optimised for search engines to maximise visibility and engagement.
- Amendments and Revisions: Support and work closely with account coordinators to incorporate client feedback and make necessary amendments to content. Step in with management support and act as the external liaison where needed
- Client Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with clients to understand their needs and expectations, and attend client meetings as needed
- Brainstorming Sessions: Lead and participate in commercial brainstorming sessions, contributing innovative ideas and solutions.
- Pitch Content Creation: Provide necessary content and ideas for commercial proposals, in addition to subedit pitches and commercial presentations.
- EDM Content Curation: Contribute to the curation of editorial content for EDMs to maintain strong open rates and reflect the Time Out brand.
- Copywriting and Editing: Assist with writing and editing copy for EDMs, adjusting based on feedback from commercial and editorial teams.
- Proofreading: Assist with EDM content as required, ensuring it is thoroughly proofread before distribution.
- Social Content Creation: As required, check and edit content for Time Out’s social media platforms, assisting to create branded/sponsored posts and occasional editorial posts.
- Events: Take the lead on internal TO events, award offerings to manage both the editorial and commercial agendas
- Goals & Strategy: take an active role in ensuring commercial content achieves set traffic goals
Skills:
- At least four years’ experience in a full-time content editing or senior content writer role.
- A knack for creative writing, snappy headlines and social media.
- The ability to produce sparkling and error-free copy.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise accordingly.
- The ability to work quickly to tight deadlines under pressure.
- Flexibility, urgency, drive and a professional approach at all times.
