Branded Content Writer

We’re on the lookout for a talented Branded Content Writer to join our Hong Kong team on a 3-month freelance contract, working on an exciting upcoming client project.
Fixed Term Contract: Full time (5 days per week)
Contract locked in for an initial fixed term of 3 months, with possibility of extension depending on future client wins.
Location: Hong Kong
Purpose of the Role
The Branded Content Writer plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between editorial excellence and commercial objectives at Time Out. This position is designed to craft compelling and creative content that aligns with the interests and needs of our commercial partners while maintaining the integrity and voice of the Time Out brand.
The Branded Content Writer will be instrumental in delivering high-quality content that drives engagement, supports client goals, and enhances the overall user experience. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our commercial content is as engaging and valuable as our editorial content, fostering strong relationships with clients and readers alike.
Key Responsibilities:
Branded/Sponsored Content: Write various types of branded and sponsored content, including listings, features, video scripts, and interview-based stories, ensuring all content meets high standards of quality and aligns with Time Out's voice.
Content Management: Build and publish content on the Time Out website, maintaining consistency and accuracy.
SEO Optimization: Ensure content is optimised for search engines to maximise visibility and engagement.
Amendments and Revisions: Work closely with account coordinators to incorporate client feedback and make necessary amendments to content.
Client Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with clients to understand their needs and expectations.
Brainstorming Sessions: Participate in commercial brainstorming sessions, contributing innovative ideas and solutions.
Affiliate Content Creation: Develop content as required, ensuring it aligns with Time Out’s standards and objectives.
EDM Content Curation: assist with curation of editorial content for EDMs to maintain strong open rates and reflect the Time Out brand.
Copywriting and Editing: Write and edit both editorial and commercial copy for EDMs, adjusting based on feedback from commercial and editorial teams.
Proofreading: Ensure all EDM content is thoroughly proofread and reviewed by senior staff before distribution.
Social Content Creation: Post content across Time Out’s social media platforms, including creating branded/sponsored posts and occasional editorial posts.
Skills & Experience:
At least three years’ experience in a full-time content writing role.
A knack for creative writing, snappy headlines and social media.
The ability to produce sparkling and error-free copy.
Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise accordingly.
The ability to work quickly to tight deadlines under pressure.
Flexibility, urgency, drive and a professional approach at all times.
