Role overview
Time Out Media is seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media Executive to support our social media efforts in Australia. In this role, you will assist in developing and implementing social media strategies to drive follower growth, brand awareness, and engagement on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, and others. This position involves managing the social media accounts for Time Out Sydney, Melbourne and Australia. You will collaborate closely with editorial and commercial teams to ensure a cohesive and engaging social media presence.
Responsibilities
Assist in developing and executing social media strategies to boost follower growth, engagement, brand awareness, and website traffic.
Help manage and maintain a social media content calendar to ensure timely and relevant posts.
Create and curate engaging content for Time Out APAC's social channels, including written posts, images, and videos.
Schedule and optimize the posting of social media content to maintain a consistent and engaging presence.
Support paid campaign strategies to meet client and commercial goals.
Participate in social media initiatives, including brainstorming, presenting, filming, and editing video content.
Assist in generating social media reports and audits to evaluate performance and adjust strategies based on data-driven insights.
Help develop relationships with KOL collaborators and partnerships to enhance content and engagement.
Curate User-Generated Content (UGC) to foster community engagement and brand loyalty.
Collaborate with internal teams, including editorial, creative, commercial, and events.
Skills:
At least 1-2 years of experience in social media management, preferably in the media or entertainment industry.
Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and trends.
Basic skills in content creation, including graphic design and video production/editing.
Demonstrated ability to engage and grow a social media audience.
Experience in supporting paid social media campaigns.
Strong analytical skills for data analysis and reporting.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Creative thinker with a passion for social media and city life.
