Title: Social & Video Lead, UK
Location: London
Department: Content
Reporting to: Content Director, EMEA
Role overview
We’re looking for a dynamic and creative team leader to take Time Out’s UK social and video storytelling to the next level.
As the Social and Video Lead for Time Out’s UK-based content team, you will supervise the delivery of excellent content across our London and Travel social channels, conveying our editorial expertise to an audience of millions each month.
Every day, you’ll be responsible for managing and motivating a small team to achieve ambitious scale, killer engagement and creative excellence, all in line with Time Out’s mission to share the best of the city with our audience.
You’ll be obsessed with reaching as many people as possible via our suite of social channels – Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and X/Twitter. You’ll be equally obsessed with managing a team to create high-quality and engaging content that’s seamlessly aligned with Time Out’s editorial curation and tone of voice.
You’ll be experienced at creating far-reaching social video content and developing strategies, where appropriate, to bridge gaps between our social channels and our website content.
The successful candidate will be focused on quality and innovation, with a head for process and impeccable attention to detail, plus excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Although this is not primarily a hands-on content creation role, the ability to shoot and edit video content in Adobe Premiere Pro is an essential skill, as is a willingness to roll up your sleeves, make decisions daily based on data, listen carefully to what our audience does (and doesn’t) want and to learn from it.

To deepen the engagement of Time Out’s social audience with our content.

To contribute to the delivery of Time Out’s global content strategy.
To manage the social media calendar and guide content from pitch to creation, including refining ideas and giving edits and feedback.
To monitor the performance of social and video content across all platforms, and use performance data wherever possible to inform future decisions.
To report on the performance of social channels, for both Content and wider teams.
