About the role
The SAM is responsible for seeking out new business and developing existing business across the digital, social, and experiential spaces.
Reporting to the Commercial Director, this role will secure revenue growth. Working closely with the Commercial Director and the wider commercial team, media agencies and long-term brand partners, the role requires a creative, detail driven seller to build and take new and existing commercial opportunities to market and grow Time Out’s presence in New South Wales.
Key Responsibilities
Continuously develop and maintain a pipeline of business from both agency and direct clients.
Prospect commercial leads by utilising online and offline sources to cultivate new business
Provide exceptional client service to all of Time Out’s current and prospective clients.
Develop strong networks within the agency environments in order to secure briefs
Produce and craft brief responses to agency and direct business in conjunction with creative solutions, commercial content where necessary.
Attend key events and networking opportunities
Drive the full sales and partnerships cycle
Work with sales support including the Ad Ops, Campaign Management, Creative Solutions and Editorial teams.
Consistently remain up to date with industry news and movements
Have the ability to handle a heavy workload, exceed client and internal expectations and be service focused
Continually network and grow as a brand advocate within the industry they represent
Skills & Experience
This role depends upon excellent interpersonal communication skills, creative thinking, entrepreneurial mindset, strong project management skills and sector knowledge – all of which Time Out expects will continuously develop with time in the role. You will be passionate about the advertising industry, have deep connections in NSW Agencies, and be a strong people/experience oriented professional.
- 3 + years media sales experience in publishing
- 3 + years experience as an Account Manager in publishing
- This position is open to all Australian residents with work rights
